VU5.0 - Silent Gate Is Now Open

Distant Shift VU5.0 is now live, opening Silent Gate and extending the expedition beyond Neon City with the seventh fully playable world in the Star Chart.

Silent Gate is designed as the next major late-game progression step. Players must first reach Sector 120 before the world can be unlocked, with an unlock cost of 2.25B Credits, 11.25B Field Essence, 8B Ore and 1.6B Components.

Reaching Silent Gate introduces a new x5.75 production multiplier, giving players another significant progression milestone while continuing the scaling established by the previous worlds.

The new world also brings its own visual identity and dedicated ambient soundtrack, giving Silent Gate a distinct atmosphere as players move deeper into Distant Shift's expanding expedition.

Six new creatures are waiting inside Silent Gate: Gate Shade, Shardmaw, Veilstalker, Null Drifter, Riftclaw and Wardcore Titan. Each joins the world-specific creature progression and expands the total creature roster beyond the six original worlds.

VU5.0 also adds five new Silent Gate-specific upgrades: Silent Gate Resonator, Gate-Phase Harvester, Riftclaw Pursuit Array, Null-Drift Survey Mesh and Wardcore Fabrication Grid. These upgrades extend progression further into the new world and provide additional late-game goals after reaching Silent Gate.

Four new Silent Gate exploration achievements have been added, increasing the total number of achievements in Distant Shift from 250 to 254. The existing all-world exploration achievement has also been updated so that completing the full journey now requires progression across all seven playable worlds.

The Star Chart has expanded again with the addition of World 08. The next destination has now been revealed as Deadly Void and appears in-game as Coming Soon (Deadly Void). Deadly Void is not playable in VU5.0, but its arrival on the Star Chart marks the next stage of Distant Shift's future expansion.

Existing players can continue using their current saves. Previous six-world save data is automatically expanded to support Silent Gate while preserving existing progression, unlocked worlds and other saved game data.

VU5.0 is one of the largest progression expansions to Distant Shift so far, opening a completely new destination while extending creatures, upgrades, achievements and the long-term Star Chart journey.
