Green Vale
Starting WorldThe opening destination where the first systems, crews and upgrades begin to take shape.
Distant Shift currently spans seven playable worlds. Each destination has its own environment, creature roster, ambient music and place within the wider progression journey. World 08, Deadly Void, is the next future destination on the Star Chart.
You begin on Green Vale before unlocking increasingly demanding destinations. Passage costs rise as the expedition expands, and later worlds require a mixture of Credits and supporting resources.
Once a world has been unlocked, return travel remains available while your long-term progression continues across the star chart.
Every playable world contributes six distinct creatures to the current expedition. Silent Gate now extends the playable journey beyond Neon City, while World 08, Deadly Void, waits beyond the current frontier.
The opening destination where the first systems, crews and upgrades begin to take shape.
A harsher frontier where passage requirements and creature strength begin climbing quickly.
A strange and increasingly hostile environment filled with unusual biological and synthetic threats.
A luminous destination that pushes the expedition deeper into the mid-game progression curve.
A late-stage desert frontier where stronger systems and deeper resource reserves become essential.
A late-game city where the expedition faces another major jump in creature strength and progression requirements.
A silent threshold beyond Neon City, built as the next major late-game progression step.
World 08 has been identified as Deadly Void. It is visible on the Star Chart but is not yet playable.
Distant Shift uses a dedicated looping ambient track for each currently playable world. Ambient volume can be controlled independently from interaction and event sounds.
Credits, Field Essence, ore and minerals, Components, upgrades, achievements, discoveries and profession growth all feed into the same expedition as you move from world to world.
