VU4.4 - System Terminal & Assignment Rework

VU4.4 gives Distant Shift a new reactive System Terminal, improves sidebar presentation and completely reworks late-game Expedition Assignment pacing and rewards.

VU4.4 - System Terminal & Assignment Rework

Distant Shift VU4.4 introduces the new System Terminal, a reactive personality layer that watches gameplay and responds to what the player is actually doing.

Rather than displaying a fixed sequence of messages, the terminal receives gameplay events and procedurally builds contextual responses based on actions such as profession activity, upgrades, discoveries, combat, Boosters, minigames, progression and other player behaviour. It can even reference details such as the profession being used, whether an upgrade affects manual or automatic play, the upgrade name and its current level.

The left sidebar has also been compacted to make room for the new terminal. Inactive professions collapse while the selected profession remains expanded, and the God Booster now shares the existing Shop, Minigame and Sector control row instead of creating another row whenever it appears.

Expedition Assignments have received a major pacing overhaul. Large sector milestone assignments now appear only when the player is close to reaching them, while shorter procedurally generated objectives fill the progression between milestones. Higher-sector rewards have also been substantially increased and now scale with the player's current economy.

VU4.4 also fixes Fabrication feedback while God Booster is active. The displayed Fabrication rate now correctly reflects the Booster without inflating the normal rate, increasing fabrication cycle speed or applying the Booster more than once.
